AirAsia cuts down flights from Clark to other Asian destinations

Philippines’ AirAsia will be reducing its flight frequencies from Clark to Taiwan, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Singapore starting Saturday, June 15.

In a statement Monday, AirAsia said scaling back of flights from Clark was part of its “operational realignment.” It did not elaborate.

Flights from Clark to Kuala Lumpur will be reduced to three times a week from 10 earlier, while flights to Hong Kong will be scaled down to one per day from 10 times a week.

Singapore flights will now depart every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from seven times a week, while flight the frequency to Taipei is also reduced from to four times per week from a daily schedule.

“Guests that are affected by the reduction of frequencies and hold flight bookings after 15th June will be offered options to alleviate the inconvenience caused and each affected guest will be notified via their registered member email account, as well as an SMS notification of the route realignment,” the airline said.

It, however, strongly urges guests with flights within the next 30 days to call +632.7422742 (ASIA).

“Those with flights departing more than 30 days from 15th June may use our e-Form to choose their service recovery options through this link: http://www.airasia.com/my/en/e-form.page,” AirAsia said. — Siegfrid Alegado/VS. GMA News
