Cebu Pacific eyes more flights to Hanoi and Guangzhou

Cebu Air Inc., operator of budget airline Cebu Pacific, is mounting additional flights to China and Vietnam to meet the growing demand in those routes, considered as among the fastest growing markets in the region, the company said Friday.

“Vietnam and China are two of our fast-growing source markets for foreign tourists, noted Candice Iyog, vice president for marketing and distribution. “We continue to support the government’s tourism goals, with this increased connectivity and Cebu Pacific’s trademark lowest fares,” she added.

The additional flights would mean a 33 percent increase in seat capacity for the airline, particularly covering the Manila-Hanoi and the Manila-Guangzhou routes.

“This is also in line with the delivery of more aircraft in 2013, as we expand in Asia and the Middle East. These additional flights will provide more flight schedule options to guests booking their flights in time for the holidays,” Iyog said. — VS, GMA News
