Petron raises LPG prices by P1.50 per kilo
Consumers were burdened at the start of the new month with another round of price hikes for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
At least one major player, Petron, raised prices of its LPG products by P1.50 per tank for a new price of P16.50 per 11-kg tank, radio dzBB reported Thursday.
Petron said this reflected changes in the world prices of LPG, the report said.
The dzBB report said that as of Thursday evening, no other LPG company has so far announced plans to hike prices.
A separate report on state-run Philippines News Agency said the price hike took effect 12:01 a.m. Thursday.
The PNA report added that the average price of LPG as of July 27 ranges from P617 to P745. — BM, GMA News
