Ramon Ang's Privado Holdings buys over 368M San Miguel shares
Privado Holdings Corp., a company controlled by San Miguel Corp. president and chief operating officer Ramon S. Ang, bought 368.14 million common shares in the diversified conglomerate in a block sale registered as a cross transaction on the Philippine Stock Exchange last Monday.
In a disclosure to the exchange Tuesday, San Miguel placed transaction value at P27.6 billion or P75 per share, noting Privado Holdings bought the share from Master Year Ltd., a company also owned by Ang.
Master Year bought a block of 368.14 million San Miguel shares from the San Miguel chairman Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco Jr. also at P75 per share in July 2012.
Ang owns 62.5 percent of Privado Holdings and Thomas Tan, an incumbent director of the San Miguel board, owns 37.5 percent. – VS, GMA News
