Is Vhong's nemesis Cedric Lee president or treasurer of Colossal Mining?

The name Cedric Lee emerged in the news, social media and other web blogs lately for mauling television host Vhong Navarro on January 22.

But who is he?

According to a profile on social networking and jobs portal LinkedIn, Lee, a Business Management graduate of De La Salle University, was involved in a number of companies that include a large mining firm.

Lee listed contractor Izumo Contractors Inc., landfill manager Waste Management Inc., and dredging operator Phil-Asia Dredging and Reclamation Corp. as the companies he heads. Indeed, his name appears on general information sheet filed before the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and collated by GMA News Research.

Lee's LinkedIn profile also states that he is managing director and a major shareholder of Colossal Mining Corporation.

The company is a member of the Chamber of Mines, which says Colossal Mining is engaged in mining and production of iron concentrates in the Philippines.

There are inconsistencies, however, on Lee's affiliation with Colossal Mining.

According to records of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau, Lee is president of Colossal Mining – a company licensed to operate mining in offshore Vigan City and Sta Catalina and Caoayan, Ilocos Sur.

SEC records compiled by GMA News show Lee is an incorporator and treasurer at Colossal Mining.

On Thursday, Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim Henares said they are looking into Lee's associates who are facing tax evasion raps. – Siegfrid AlegadoVS, GMA News
