AirAsia Zest takes Robinsons as cash payments partner

AirAsia Zest has taken on Robinsons Inc. as partner in cash payments for airline tickets, the companies said in a statement Monday, noting the carrier would be tapping the 40 Robinsons Department Stores across the Philippines.

This means airline passengers can pay for their tickets in any Robinsons Department Store after booking a flight online, AirAsia Zest commercial chief Gerard Peñaflor said.

“We are expanding our cash payment partner service to include Robinsons Department Store to provide optimum convenience for our guests and allow them access to our low fares and other exclusive online bargain deals without using their credit or debit cards,” Peñaflor noted.

The service covers all AirAsia Zest domestic flights to and from points in Malaysia, China and South Korea.

The partnership has the potential of servicing 120 million Robinsons clients who may decide to pay their tickets in a department store, said Johnson Go, Robinsons Department Store general manager.  – VS, GMA News
