New STI school in Lucena expects to enrol 4,000 students

More than 4,000 senior high school and college students living in Quezon Province are seen to enroll in the new STI Academic Center in Lucena City for the coming school year, the company said Wednesday.

The new four-storey facility will be officially opened for classes in school year 2015-2016, STI said in an emailed statement.

With a floor area of 4,347 square meters, the new STI Academic Center houses air-conditioned classrooms equipped with LCD projectors and LED lightning systems, along with a library connected to the Internet.

Some of the courses offered in the new STI school are Information and Communications Technology, Business Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Arts and Sciences, and Engineering, the statement said.

The Department of Education (DepEd) has also permitted it to offer a Senior High School program as early as this school year, making the center one of first institutions in Quezon to offer such program, the statement added.

STI also operates academic centers in Fairview, Alabang, Novaliches, Malolos, Caloocan, Calamba, and Cubao, among others. — Raffy Cabristante/BM, GMA News
