Airline competition heats up as AirAsia Zest offers P0.01 promo seats

AirAsia Zest will be offering seats on its domestic and international flights at a base fare of one centavo from Nov. 10 to Nov. 16.

The promo seats are for the travel period of Jun. 10, 2015 to Jan. 17, 2016 and mean all-in promo seats from Manila to Kalibo, Tagbilaran, Puerto Princesa, Cebu, and Tacloban from P353.81 one way. The sale also includes promo flights from Cebu to Davao and Cagayan de Oro.

International flights from Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Kalibo to Incheon and Busan in South Korea, Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia, and Macau and Shanghai in China start at P353.81 one way.

The prices cover airport tax, fuel surcharge, and other fees.

Booking flights can be done through www.airasia.com and through the AirAsia app for iPhone and Android.

Meanwhile, rival Cebu Pacific Air offers a domestic base fare for as low as P199 and international flights from Manila to Beijing at a base fare of P99 or a one-way fare of P219. Manila to Bangkok or Taipei have a base fare of P499 or P619 one way.
