SM malls in NCR, Batangas, Cavite close early, but offer shelter and free parking

SM Supermalls in Metro Manila, Batangas and Cavite were closed at 7 p.m. Monday, the company said, but will allow entry to those seeking shelter and overnight parking.

"SM Supermalls shall close all Metro Manila malls including SM City Rosario and SM City Batangas at 7 p.m. tonight," the company said in an advisory on Monday evening.

"However, as part of our public service, we shall allow entry to those who seek shelter and free overnight parking to those who wish to park their vehicles," it added.

A weakened Tropical Storm Ruby made landfall in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas, at 5:45 p.m on Monday. Public storm signals remained over 16 areas, including Metro Manila and Calabarzon. — Kathryn Mae P. Tubadeza/BM, GMA News
