'Exact toll fee' lanes open in SLEX, Skyway ahead of holidays

South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and Metro Manila Skyway operators on Monday opened "exact toll fee" lanes for motorists to avoid long queues at toll plazas during the holidays.

 

"By implementing this policy, we hope that more motorists will make it a habit all-year round to prepare the exact toll and use these express lanes, so they don’t have to spend more time than they need to, lining up at the toll plazas,” Manuel Bonoan, president and CEO of SLEX and Skyway operators Manila Toll Expressway Systems Inc. and Skyway O&M Corp.

 

Motorists who accidentally queue up at the "exact toll fee" lanes will still be given their change.

 

"We very well understand that it will take a bit of adjustment from the public... We are confident that in no time, motorists will see why this makes sense and why all of us needed to contribute to, and support, this effort,” Bonoan said.

 

He said more ambulant tellers will be deployed at the busiest toll plazas during the Holiday season where exodus of Filipinos to provinces is expected. – Kathryn Mae P. Tubadeza/VS, GMA News
