PHLPost rolls out express services as it turns 23

Filipinos can now avail of new "express" mail services from the Philippine Postal Corp. as it turned 23 on Monday.

This year’s anniversary has the theme “Express sa Bente Tres” to show PHLPost's capability to deliver mails, parcels, and money transfers.

"PHLPost now pushes for express domestic delivery of mails and parcels, ensuring next-day delivery in identified committed areas all over the country. This improved service comes with a domestic mail tracking system and an SMS notification. Both features are programmed to provide delivery status updates," the agency said.

It also said it is maximizing its membership with the Universal Postal Union and bilateral agreements with 45 countries for Express Mail Service (EMS).

PHLPost also offers a money transfer service, or electronic postal money order that can be sent and received in real-time in nearly 400 post offices nationwide.

Also, PHLPost is reviving its “Piso Padala” money transfer service.

PHLPost was created as a government-owned and controlled corporation on April 2, 1992.
