BCDA remits P2.2B from 2014 revenues

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) on Monday said it has remitted P2.2 billion to the Bureau of Treasury last month, covering revenues for the whole of 2014.

The latest remittance to the national treasury reflects the consistent financial performance of the BCDA in generating billions of pesos for the government, BCDA President and CEO Arnel Paciano Casanova said in an emailed statement.

"Since the start of the Aquino Administration, the BCDA has remitted and average of close to P2 billion yearly to the Bureau of Treasury," Casanova said.

The latest remittance represents the national government’s dividend share of P500 million as well as the P1.701-billion share of government beneficiary agencies from the BCDA.
