Solaire gets regular gaming license from PAGCOR
Bloomberry Resorts and Hotels Inc. (BRHI) on Thursday said it has received a notice that the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has approved a regular casino gaming license covering the operation of Solaire Resort & Casino.
Solaire, which opened in March 2013, applied for a regular license with the gaming regulator last April 22, Silverio Benny Tan, BRHI corporate secretary, said in a regulatory filing.
An indirect but wholly-owned subsidiary of Bloomberry Resorts Corporation, BRHI is the operator of Solaire and holds a provisional license to operate the casino resort in the Las Vegas-style Entertainment City.
On Tuesday, Melco Crown (Philippines) Resorts Corporation revealed its integrated casino resort, City of Dreams Manila, was the first to receive a regular gaming license from PAGCOR after having met the minimum $1-billion investment.
The minimum amount is part of PAGCOR’s requirements for granting a regular license to a locator in Entertainment City. – VS, GMA News
