Ethiopian Airlines to start Manila-Addis Ababa route July 9

On the heels of an air agreement forged late last year between Ethiopia and the Philippines, the Ethiopian Airline will start flying to Manila on Thursday.

Direct flights between Manila and Addis Ababa will happen three times a week, with the Ethiopian flag carrier using the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said Wednesday.

"With the entry of Ethiopian Airlines, there will be officially 40 airlines utilizing the NAIA," MIAA General Manager Jose Angel Honrado said.
