Firm to pay for P100M in cargo damaged in Ormoc City ship fire

Roble Shipping Inc., owner of the ship that caught fire less than an hour after docking at Ormoc City Port on Saturday, has promised to pay for all cargo lost in the fire.

 

According to a report on "24 Oras Weekend" aired Saturday evening, Roble estimates around P100 million in property was lost in the fire aboard M/V Wonderful Stars.

 

The shipping company is waiting for clearance from the Philippine Coast Guard so the ship can be towed back to its home port of Cebu City.  — JDS, GMA News
