Ayala Land, Manila Water sign wide-ranging waterworks deal
Property developer Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) has entered into a partnership with a subsidiary of Manila Water Company Inc. for the waterworks of ALI's projects nationwide.
The memorandum of agreement (MOA) was signed on Tuesday by Ayala Land and its subsidiaries and affiliates Cebu Holdings Inc. and Cebu Property Ventures and Development Corp.
Manila Water Philippine Ventures Inc. (MWPV), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Manila Water Company, is the counterpart firm in the partnership.
“Under the agreement, Manila Water Philippine Ventures shall provide water and used water services to all ALI Group projects,” Ayala Land said on Wednesday.
The agreement covers Ayala Land subsidiaries Alveo Land Corp., Avida Land Corp., Amaia Land Corp., Bellavita Land Corp., Portico Land Corp., Cebu Holdings, Cebu Property Ventures, Asian I-Office Properties Inc., Saline Inc., Avencosouth Corp., Accendo Commercial Corp., Cagayan De Oro Gateway Corp., Nuevocentro Inc., Aurora Properties Inc., Ceci Commercial Ventures Corp., Amaia Southern Properties Inc., Long Land Realty Corp., Buklod Bahayan Realty and Development Corp., SouthPortal Properties Inc., Ten Knots Philippines Inc., and AyalaLand Hotels and Resorts Corp.
“The objective of the MOA is to leverage on the respective expertise of the parties, in order to provide optimum services and facilities for their customers and clients,” Manila Water Company said in a separate disclosure on Wednesday.
“Previously, the ALI Group provides in-house water and used water services and facilities in their property development projects,” it added.
Manila Water holds the east zone concession encompassing parts of Makati, Mandaluyong, Pasig, Pateros, San Juan, Taguig, Marikina, most parts of Quezon City, and portions of Manila.
It also serves the water requirements of Rizal province that includes the towns and cities of Angono, Antipolo, Baras, Binangonan, Cardona, Jala-Jala, Morong, Pililia, Rodriguez, San Mateo, Tanay, Taytay and Teresa.
Manila Water Company has three other subsidiaries: Laguna AAA Water Corporation, Boracay Island Water Company and Clark Water Corporation. – Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VS, GMA News
