$4.6 million handed over by Kim Wong to Bangko Sentral

On Wednesday, Kim Wong handed over $4.6 million to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas for safekeeping.

Wong earlier claimed that he accepted the money as debt payment and investment from a couple of big time rollers, not knowing it was part of the funds stolen from the account of the Bangladesh Bank with the US Federal Reserve.

Attending the event were Second Secretary and Head of Chancery of the Bangladesh Embassy Manila Probash Lamarong, Anti-Money Laundering Council Secretariat Executive Director Julia Bacay-Abad, AMLC Member and Insurance Commissioner Emmanuel Dooc,  Wong's legal counsel Atty. Inocencio Ferrer, Jr., and BSP Deputy Governor Vicente Aquino.
