PLDT urges public to ignore fake ‘PLDT Cebu’ FB account

PLDT Inc. on Tuesday urged the public to ignore the content of a post circulating online made by a fake Facebook account with the name "PLDT Cebu".

"I would just like to advise the public that the said FB account is fake. PLDT has nothing whatsoever to do with it. We urge the public to ignore its content, which is clearly intended to mislead people," PLDT spokesperson Ramon Isberto told GMA News Online.

In a Facebook post by a certain Cebu Flash report, a person, who requested anonymity, asked for help regarding the fake account's harsh feedback on his/her complaint to improve its internet service.

The response by the fake "PLDT Cebu" FB account was written in Cebuano, saying that if the customer is not satisfied with its service, he/she should apply for a disconnection. — BM, GMA News
