PLDT: Initial findings show viral CSR call was an old recording


PLDT on Thursday said initial findings show that audio of a supposed customer service call that has gone viral recently is an old recording.

In a text message to GMA News Online, the company's spokesperson Ramon Isberto said, "We are still trying to verify if sa PLDT nga 'yung transaction pero initial findings nga namin 2010 pa, it's an old old recording."

The recording  posted by a certain JonJon Joson in his Facebook account has gotten more than 4,400 likes and has been shared over 6,800 times.

In the recorded conversation, a customer was complaining that they have had no internet connection for two days. The customer service representative told him that there was an ongoing software upgrade in the customer's area affecting their internet service.

When Rosana could not provide details when will the internet connection be fixed, the customer responded angrily. The CSR also responded with a curse word to the irate customer.
