MRT-3 hit by technical problem anew, unloads passengers in Ortigas

Passengers of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) were once again forced to disembark on Wednesday at Ortigas Station Northbound after the train encountered another technical problem.

In a service status report it issued, MRT-3 said that the train unloaded passengers at around 4:55 p.m.

This is the second time the MRT-3 experienced technical problem on the same day since it earlier unloaded passengers at Ortigas Station Southbound at 8:32 a.m.

The train received a Category 3 status, meaning it was removed without a replacement.

There are 16 trains running as of 5 p.m., it said in a separate tweet. — Marlly Rome Bondoc/MDM, GMA News
