Rebooking, refunds offered to Cebu Pacific passengers delayed by Resorts World attack
Budget carrier Cebu Pacific Air on Friday offered passengers traveling to and from Manila to re-book their flights or get refund due to the expected delays caused by the Resorts World Manila shooting incident.
“Cebu Pacific Air is deeply saddened by the tragic events at Resorts World Manila earlier today,” the airline said in an advisory.
Passengers so affected are given the following options:
- Rebook for free within 30 days;
- Get a full refund
- Place the full cost of the ticket in a travel fund for future use
“Affected passengers are advised to contact our hotline, 702-0888 to make arrangements. They may also message the official Cebu Pacific Facebook or Twitter accounts,” Cebu Pacific said.
“We also advise guests intending to travel today to allot additional time for check-in and processing at the airport due to heightened security,” it added.
Cebu Pacific said that some of its flights had been delayed or cancelled as a result of the incident.
Early Friday morning, a lone gunman fired shots inside Resorts World Manila – a hotel and casino complex in Pasay City.
At least 36 people were killed and 54 were injured after the tragic incident.
“Passengers who are affected by these cancelled flights who wish to continue their journey will be rebooked on the first available flights. We appeal for understanding and patience. Thank you,” the airline said. —NB, GMA News
