Etihad to rebook, compensate for canceled Qatar flights
Etihad Airways on Monday urged passengers flying to and from Doha to either rebook, reroute, or refund their tickets given the recent suspension of flights to Qatar.
"All customers who are booked on Etihad Airways flights to and from Doha are being provided with alternative options, including full refunds on unused tickets and free rebooking to the nearest alternate Etihad Airways destinations," it said in an emailed statement.
This comes after the Abu Dhabi carrier said it will suspend all flights to and from Doha from Tuesday morning until further notice, with the last flight to Doha departing at 02:45 local time on Tuesday.
The suspension order follows the move of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates to sever ties to Qatar, accusing the Arab state of supporting terrorism.
"Detailed information is available by calling the Etihad Airways Contact Centre on +971 (0) 2599 0000, or by visiting etihad.com," it said.
"Any further changes to the status of flight schedules to Doha will be communicated through the appropriate channels. Etihad Airways regrets any inconvenience caused as a result of the suspension" it added. — RSJ, GMA News
