SSS sets up help desks at funeral parlors for claims related to Resorts World attack
The Social Security System has set up help desks at funeral parlors where the bodies of the victims of the attack at Resorts World Manila were taken.
According to a report on Unang Balita on Tuesday, the SSS' action was to ensure that the claims of the relatives of the victims will be attended to immediately.
The help desks have been set up at Veronica Funeral Homes and Rizal Funeral Parlor in Pasay City.
Those who were injured in the attack and are still recuperating in hospitals were given SSS claim forms.
Thirty-eight people, including gunman Jessie Carlos, died Friday at the hotel-casino complex.
Carlos, described as a gambling addict, torched gaming tables and took casino chips before barging into a hotel room and setting himself on fire. He also shot himself.
Most of the victims died due to smoke inhalation. —KG, GMA News
