Water service interruptions loom in parts of Metro Manila
Some Maynilad Water Services Inc. customers in three cities in Metro Manila should brace for water interruptions next week as the water concessionaire will conduct maintenance activities.
"Maynilad will conduct maintenance activities in some parts of Quezon City, Manila, and Caloocan City," the company said in a Facebook post on Saturday.
The following areas will experience temporary water interruption:
Quezon City
- June 28 (12 a.m. to 4 a.m.) - Barangay North Fairview, Barangay Batasan Hills
- June 28 (10 p.m.) to June 29 (4 a.m.) - Barangay Bahay Toro, Talayan and Sto Domingo
- June 30 (10 p.m.) to July 1 (4 a.m.) - Barangay Paltok
- July 2 (10 p.m.) to July 3(4 a.m.) - Barangay Apolonio Samson
Manila City
- June 28 (12 a.m.) to June 28 (4 a.m.) - Area bounded by Lubiran, Magistrado Mapa, Magistrado Araullo, Cordillera or barangays 590, 610, 611, 619 and 621
- June 30 (12 a.m.) to June 30 (4 a.m.) - Area bounded by Quiricada, A. Mendoza, E. Remigio, P. Guevarra, Mayhaligue, Rizal Avenue or barangays 315, 316, 317, 318, 319, 320, 321, 322, 323, 324, 325
Caloocan City
- June 27 (11 p.m.) to June 28 (2 a.m.) - Barangays 64, 65, 66, 69, 73, 74 and 75
- June 29 (11 p.m.) to June 30 (2 a.m.) - Barangays 65, 66, 67, 69, 70 and 75
- June 27 (11:30 p.m.) to June 28 (3 a.m.) - Barangay 176
- June 27 (11 p.m.) to June 28 (2 a.m.) - Barangay Longos
"Affected customers are encouraged to store enough water during times of the day when supply is available," Maynilad said.
"There might be a delay in the resumption of water service in your area. This is due to several factors such as your area’s elevation, its distance from our pumping stations, and the volume of withdrawal from our main lines," it added.
Maynilad is the agent and contractor of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System for the West Zone of Greater Manila Area, composed of certain portions of Manila and Quezon City, Makati, Caloocan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon; and the cities of Cavite, Bacoor and Imus, and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario. —ALG, GMA News
