PAL to resume flights to Abu Dhabi on October 31

Flag-carrier Philippine Airlines on Thursday said it is set to resume flights to Abu Dhabi by the end of October, amid increased demand for the route.

"Effective October 31, Philippine Airlines shall resume its non-stop thrice weekly service between Manila and Abu Dhabi after experiencing increased demand for flights on the route," PAL said in a statement.

PAL temporarily suspended its flights to and from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates last July 8, citing "route assessment initiatives."

Customers going to Abu Dhabi are currently serviced by flights from Manila to Dubai, where they are transported to Abu Dhabi and vice versa.

PAL will resume operating three flights per week to Abu Dhabi — PR 656 which departs Manila at 11:45 a.m. and arrives in Abu Dhabi at 5:45 p.m. every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Meanwhile, PR 657 flights leave Abu Dhabi at 7:30 p.m. local time in the same days, and arrive in Manila at 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Fridays, and Sundays. —Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/LBG, GMA News
