Laguna-Makati P2P now accepting Beep cards

Commuters from Laguna to Makati may now use their Beep cards to pay for point-to-point bus fares, private concessionaire AF Payments Inc. said Wednesday.

"(S)tarting today, August 23, Wednesday, commuters can use their Beep card to pay for rides in TAS Trans' point-to-point buses plying Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna to Promenade Glorietta 2 and Circuit Makati in Makati City," it said in an emailed statement.

AF Payments said there will be a promo fare of P150 for a one-way trip available until November 30.

Senior citizens, PWDs, and students will also be given discounted fares of P120 during the promo period.

Starting December 1, however, the regular fare will be priced at P250 for a one-way trip.

"P2P buses offer a convenient alternative to ease commuting worries these days. The service is continuously expanding and with Beep card acceptance, commuters can transfer seamlessly from one line to another as necessary," AF Payments Inc. President and CEO Peter Maher said.

Aside from the P2P buses, the Beep card may also be used in all three elevated railways in Metro Manila — the Light Rail Transit Lines 1 and 2, and the Metro Rail Transit Line 3. — Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VDS, GMA News
