Airbus Helicopters Philippines eyes 60% market share in 3 years
Seeing growth opportunities in civilian acquisitions, Airbus Helicopters Philippines Inc. is looking at expanding in the country over the medium-term.
"In the next three years, we hope to be at 60 percent market share so we need 10 percent more," Lionel de Maupeaou, Airbus Helicopters Philippines Inc. managing director, told reporters in a roundtable discussion in Pasay City.
Maupeaou said Airbus accounts for 50 percent market share with more than 70 helicopters flying in the Philippines.
Six helicopters are on track to be delivered to customers by end of this year, Maupeaou added.
"There's a lot of potential in the country, especially in the tourism market," he said.
He added that customer satisfaction with their products and services will drive Airbus's aim to expand its market share.
"We have developed a hassle free program, wherein we maintain and do the inspections of the aircraft for our customers," Maupeaou said.
Ninety percent of the company's clients are corporate executives.
"In terms of civilian market, the Philippines is very important for us," Airbus South East Asia & Pacific head of sales Fabrice Rochereau said during the roundtable discussion. — VDS GMA News
