Most banks open and fully operational on Thursday, Sept. 21

All member banks of the Bankers Association of the Philippines are open and "fully operational on Thursday, September 21.

"Normal check-clearing operations, trading and other financial transactions will be observed to fully serve the banking public," the association said Wednesday.

The BAP is a non-stock, not for profit organization of universal and commercial banks consisting of 21 local banks and 20 foreign bank branches.

 

BAP member banks are to "remain fully operational despite the suspension of work in government offices on 21 September 2017," the association said. — VDS, GMA News
