One-day wake for SGV founder Washington SyCip starts on Monday

A one-day wake for Washington "Wash" SyCip will start on Monday, according to the family of the renowned Filipino accountant and founder of SGV & Co.

The wake will last from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Heritage Park along Bayani Road in Taguig City. An evening mass is scheduled at 7:00 p.m., the accounting firm said in an advisory.

Another memorial mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24, at the Sanctuario de San Antonio Church in Makati City.

SyCip, 96, who was also one of the founders of the Asian Institute of Management, passed away on October 7 while on a flight to Vancouver from Manila. — Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VDS, GMA News
