Globe, Smart start taking pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+
Pre-orders for Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus in the Philippines began on Wednesday, with rivals Globe Telecom Inc. and Smart Communications laying out pricing offers for postpaid subscribers.
Globe and Smart said customers can get the latest Samsung devices at P2,499.
For Globe, the amount breaks into ThePlan 1499 and P1,000 a month cash out.
Smart is offering the gadgets under its GigaX Plans, with the 64GB Samsung Galaxy S9 at P2,499 per month and the 128GB Galaxy S9+ at P2,899 per month. Both plans are covered by a 24-month contract.
The S9 and S9+ contracts include a 5GB open access data, 10GB data for video streaming, unlimited texts to all networks, and 60 minutes of calls to all networks each month for 24 months, Smart said.
Globe noted its plan comes with unlimited texts to all networks, unlimited calls to Globe/TM, and freebies including a three-month membership with Spotify Premium as well as a six-month subscription to Netflix.
The latest Samsung devices are free under ThePLATINUM Plan 4999, Globe said.
