LTFRB accredits new ride-hailing platform Owto

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) accredited on Tuesday Ipara Technologies and Solutions Inc., the operator of ride-hailing platform Owto, as a transportation network company (TNC).

The accreditation of Ipara is good for two years starting from the date of approval, the LTFRB said.

According to LTFRB Board Member Aileen Lizada said Ipara is the fourth TNC to be accredited by the board after Singapore-based Grab acquired the Southeast Asia business of rival Uber Technologies Inc.

Last week, the LTFRB also accredited Hype Transport Services Inc. as a TNC. —VDS, GMA News
