Globe entices internet surfers to connect for free via GoWiFi

Web surfers can tap into fast and reliable internet connectivity at speeds of up to 100 megabytes per second (Mbps) via GoWiFi, Globe Telecom Inc. said on Wednesday.

GoWiFi is a public hotspot service that provides customers a better WiFi experience, regardless of the the network provider.

“GoWiFi has expanded its services since last year to over 1500 locations and more than 10,000 access points all over the Philippines,” said Adrian Te, head of Business Development and Marketing at GoWiFi.

Among the locations and access points are Ayala Malls, Robinsons Malls, SM Supermalls, Megaworld Malls, select convenience stores, coffee shops, restaurants, airports, LRT/MRT train stations, hospitals, and schools, the telco said in a statement.

Anyone can connect to the public hotspot through their WiFi-enabled phone or gadget, regardless of the network provider.

The Free GoWiFi comes with free access of 15 minutes to 2 hours per user every day. Enable your WiFi settings and connect to @FreeGoWiFi hotspot. A portal will pop-up, follow the instructions, click GO and start surfing.

GoWiFi has launched an ad campaign called the #FindYourConnection series. The videos, which talk about finding the right WiFi for you and equating it to finding your right match in love, can be found on the GoWiFi Facebook page, Globe said.
