Online seller flagged for using PHL flag elements in shoes

The National Historical Commission of the Philippines called out an online store on Wednesday for selling shoes that appear to bear elements of the Philippine flag.

In its post on Facebook, the commission said Love the World violated Batas Pambansa Bilang 8491 or the "Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines."

The law prohibits the use of the elements of the Philippine flag for commercial products.

The NHCP advised the public not to buy the subjected footwear.
