PAL to expand Thailand network in codeshare deal with Bangkok Airways

Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Bangkok Airways are embarking on a codeshare partnership to expand connections for passengers traveling between Manila and Thailand, PAL said Friday.

This agreement, which will take effect on October 28, 2018, will enable PAL passengers flying to Bangkok from Manila to connect seamlessly with Bangkok Airways’ flights to Chiang Mai via Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport.

At the same time, Bangkok Airways’ passengers will be able to travel on Philippine Airlines’ flights between Bangkok and Manila.

Plans are under way to expand the agreement and include other destinations in Thailand that serve as gateways to popular beaches, resorts, and other cultural and natural attractions.

Both PAL and Bangkok Airways have a 4-Star Certification by the international airline rating agency Skytrax.

Bangkok Airways is PAL’s 15th codeshare partner, and its fifth in Southeast Asia, and PAL is the 27th codeshare partner of Bangkok Airways. —VDS, GMA News
