RCBC Bankard, AirAsia tie-up for new credit card
Rizal Commercial Banking Corp.'s credit card unit RCBC Bankard and low-cost carrier AirAsia entered into a co-brand partnership for a new credit card.
"Since airline has the second highest spend category in our customers, we want to catch that market that's why we entered with a partnership with AirAsia," RCBC Bankard president and CEO Simon Javier Calasanz told reporters on the sidelines of the AirAsia credit card launch in Taguig City on Wednesday.
RCBC Bankard AirAsia card holders will enjoy perks such as earning free flight points with each use of the credit card.
Calasanz said RCBC Bankard was eyeing to register around 100,000 customers for the AirAsia credit card within three years.
"This dynamic collaboration between RCBC and AirAsia represents an exciting step forward in our on-going journey towards providing modern travel experiences for our guests," AirAsia Philippine president and CEO Dexter Comendador said in a separate statement. —LDF, GMA News
