SM Prime opens 29th mall in Philippines

SM Prime Holdings Inc., the country's largest retailer, opened its 29th and latest mall in Taytay, Rizal on Wednesday. In a statement to the Philippine Stock Exchange, SM Prime said the latest mall has a gross floor area of 91,920 square meters and occupies 38,525 square meters of land. "SM City Taytay has a leasable area of 42, 459 area sqm and will have as its main tenants SM Department Store, SM Hypermarket, a food court, and three cinemas. The three cinemas will have a combined seating capacity of 1,250. its other mall tenants include Bench, The Face Shop, Penshoppe, Oxygen, Celine, Jollibee, McDonald's, National Bookstore, Kevin's Playhouse, Max's, Floring's Barbecue, French Baker, among others," the company said. SM City Taytay brings SM Prime's total gross floor area to 3.7 million square meters. Before the ends of the year, SM Prime is also planning to open SM Supercenter Muntinlupa and San Miguel by the Bay- a strip mall located at the Esplanade fronting the SM Mall of Asia Complex.
