Philippine Airlines on Tuesday warned the public against a fake online advertisement which claimed the air service would be providing everyone with two free tickets on PAL's "78th birthday."
In a statement, PAL also warned that the fake ad linked to a bogus website - philippineairlines.comflyone.com.
The airline pointed out that its official website was www.philippineairlines.com and its official Facebook page was @flypal, and these were the avenues of exposure for its digital advertisements and announcements.
"Vigilance is essential in ensuring that you do not fall prey to these bogus ads," PAL warned further in a statement. "Logging on to these sites will compromise or breach the privacy of your personal data."
PAL added that they had reported the matter to authorities, and that they would be taking the appropriate legal action against the creators of the bogus advertisement. — DVM, GMA News
