GMA Network's CMO to receive St. Scholastica's 13th Hildegarde Award for Women in Media


GMA Network's Chief Marketing Officer Lizelle Maralag has been chosen to receive the prestigious Hildegarde Award for Women in Media and Communication under the category of advertising.

With the title “Women and the Youth: Making Waves and Breaking Barriers”, the St. Scholastica’s College, Manila's 13th Hildegarde Awards for Women chose Maralag for her contribution in improving the welfare of the youth through her media platform.

 


Hildegarde awards described Maralag as an advertising media professional with over two decades worth of media experience under her belt.

It said, "Currently, Maralag is with GMA and has been one of the people responsible for driving its growth and marketing making it the only Philippine network with the most number of local and global marketing awards to date. "

It also noted that Maralag was the founding co-chairperson of the Media Specialists Association of the Philippines from 2008 to 2009 as well as the leading Managing Director of Starcom Mediavest Group Philippines Co. Inc.

Among the awardees for Individual awards are Kara Magsanoc-Alikpala for the field of Development Communication, Patricia Evangelista for Broadcast Journalism, and Melinda Quintos de Jesus for Print Journalism

For Institutional awards, the awardees are "CNN Philippines Junior" for Broadcast Journalism, "She Talks Asia" for Development Communication, Philippine Daily Inquirer's Read Along activities for Print Journalism, and TBWA/Santiago Mangada Puno for Advertising.

The 13th Hildegarde Award is open to the public and will be set on April 24. — LA, GMA News
