Gasoline prices up for 7th straight week


Oil firms on Tuesday raised pump prices of petroleum products, marking the seventh consecutive week of hikes in gasoline prices in the country.

Effective 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., and SEAOIL Philippines Inc. hiked prices per liter of diesel by P0.10 and gasoline by P0.65.

Jetti Petroleum Inc., and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. announced implemented changes excluding kerosene.

Eastern Petroleum Corp., Petro Gazz, and PTT Petroleum Philippines Inc. earlier announced similar changes.

According to the latest data available from the Department of Energy, gasoline prices in the country currently range from P48.75 to P60.19, diesel from P40.20 to P49.72, and kerosene from P45.35 to P53.98. — Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/RSJ, GMA News
