Globe says data services restored after brief interruption

Globe Telecom Inc. said Friday it has restored its internet services after a brief interruption earlier in the day.

"We apologize for the temporary data/internet service interruption that happened from 1:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. today," Globe said in an advisory.

"The interruption was caused by a server issue," the Ayala-led telco said.

The telco said its Globe Postpaid, Globe Prepaid, TM, Globe At Home LTE, and Globe At Home Prepaid Wifi "can now enjoy data/internet services again."

"We request customers to please switch your mobile devices or modems off and on to reboot your numbers in our system," Globe said.

The telco's service interruption advisory came after another Ayala-led firm Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) was hit by a temporary service unavailability on Thursday.

The bank's services returned to normal early Friday.  — RSJ, GMA News
