Cebu Pacific reports breach in GetGo app server

Cebu Pacific on Thursday reported a breach in its GetGo application server, which the budget carrier said has since been secured.

"Cebu Pacific confirms that there was an unauthorized access to a GetGo application server last night," the company said in an advisory.

"This server has been secured. We can also confirm that credit card information was not stored on that server," it elaborated.

The carrier noted, however, that it has temporarily disabled all GetGo online channels as it continues to investigate the matter.

"As a precaution, we have temporarily disabled log-in using GetGo credentials to the cebupacificair.com website and mobile app, both of which remain secure," it said.

The company said it is now working with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) to investigate the matter further. — RSJ, GMA News
