Fuel prices to go up


The prices of fuel products will go up next week, fuel companies announced.

Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex) said the prices of its fuel products will go up as follows:

  • gasoline: P0.50 per liter
  • diesel: P0.75 per liter
  • kerosene: P0.50 per liter

 

The price adjustments will take effect on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at 12:01 a.m.

Petro Gazz also announced it will impose a similar price increase effective Tuesday, August 20, at 6 a.m.

It will raise the price of diesel by P0.75 per liter, and gasoline by P0.50 per liter.

In its weekly fuel price forecast for August 20 to 26, Unioil Petroleum Philippines said diesel prices may be expected to increase by P0.60 to P0.70 per liter while gasoline should go up by P0.35 to P0.45 per liter.

Data from the Department of Energy showed diesel prices ranging between P39.10 and P44.09 per liter, gasoline by P43.85 to P55.59 per liter, and kerosene by P46.41 to P53.80 per liter.

Year-to-date adjustments stand at a net increase of P4.50 per liter for gasoline, P2.85 per liter for diesel and P0.85 per liter for kerosene. —With a report from Ted Cordero/KG, GMA News
