Japanese ad agency enters PHL market

Japanese advertising agency AD Nagata on Monday announced its entry into the Philippines, through a partnership with local marketing firm Game Plan Marketing Solutions Inc. (GPSMI).

To be dubbed as the GP-Nagata, the partnership seeks to provide consultancy services and technical support to GPSMI as it grows its out-of-home (OOH) business.

The OOH business refers to advertising focused on marketing to consumers while they are out of the house or in public places.

"We are excited to enter the Philippines, especially with its fast-emerging economy and vibrant consumer market," Ichiro Nagata, CEO of AD Nagata, said in a statement.

"We also know that in order for us to succeed, we needed an ally that already knew the local landscape. And this is why we partnered with GP," he elaborated.

GP-Nagata said it also plans to collaborate with government agencies and offices by providing "well-kept and secured" public spaces such as waiting sheds, toilets, smoking areas, tunnels, and pedestrian underpass or overpass.

"AD Nagata has proven to be a dominant force in the region, and we are honored to be their partner in the Philippines," said GPSMI president Mark Bernal. —LDF, GMA News
