Grab, Valenzuela City partnership to ensure fast distribution of business permits
Grab Philippines and Valenzuela City have signed a memorandum of agreement to ensure fast distribution of business permits in the city, the ride-hailing service said Wednesday.
The agreement was signed by Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian and Grab Philippines president Brian Cu on Tuesday.
Valenzuela City is launching “Paspas Permit,” a 10-second online business permit system as part of its smart city initiatives.
As business permit applicants can now process their documents online, Grab Express will be delivering business plates to their doorsteps “in a matter of 10 seconds upon confirmation of payment.”
“As we all know, Grab has made on-demand delivery of parcels faster, and this partnership is a great compliment to our 3S Plus Online Services,” Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian said in a statement.
Paspas Permit is the highlight of Valenzuela’s 3S Plus Online Services, a local government initiative in digital governance.
“As we embark on this promising new enterprise with the City Government of Valenzuela, we are excited and honored to be their equitable and reliable partner to help build Metro Manila’s first smart city,” Cu said in a statement.
Grab and Valenzuela will also work together in building a hyper-localized mapping system of Valenzuela City.
This will make bookings and parcel deliveries via the Grab platform accurate and efficient, Grab said.
The two will also share relevant data on the updated base map or satellite imagery of Valenzuela City in compliance with the Philippine data privacy laws, Grab added. —Joviland Rita/VDS, GMA News
