Huawei says 2019 shipments reached 200M smartphones
China’s Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. on Monday said it has shipped 200 million smartphones across the globe year-to-date, overtaking last year’s sales.
Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) said it reached the 200-million smartphone shipment 64 days earlier than it did last year.
“We’re thankful for the support of Filipinos and for contributing to the massive success of the company,” said George Li, country head of Huawei Consumer Business Group in the Philippines.
“Huawei has been helping to shape and navigate Philippines’ digital future ever since. And we are grateful that we’ve grown alongside our consumers and partners making it possible for us to achieve a record-high 200 million shipments,” he added.
In August, the company said the Philippine market was essential to the overall growth of the company.
Huawei said it has made available to the market its Mate 30 Powerhouse duo—Mate 30 Pro at P50,990, and the Mate 30 at P34,990.
Huawei products and services are currently available in over 170 countries, and are used by a third of the world’s population. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VDS, GMA News
