Radisson to open hotels in Cebu and Bacolod

The Radisson Hotel Group on Tuesday said it has signed agreements to operate two new hotels in the next three years, banking on growth projections in secondary and tertiary locations across the country.
The two hotels cover 290 additional rooms, Radisson Hotel Group vice president for operations Andre De Jong said in a press conference.
The Park Inn by Radisson in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental is targeted to open for business next year, and the Radisson RED Cebu Mandaue in 2022.
“With the number of hotels we operate here in the Philippines, when we look at the future, which most of this is about, the potential is significant,” De Jong said.
The Radisson Group currently operates the Radisson Blu Cebu, and Park Inn by Radisson Hotels in Clark, Davao, Iloilo, and North Edsa.
“If you look at the five hotels we manage and operate right now, we provide job opportunities to around 700 employees in those hotels directly,” said De Jong.
“If we open another two properties which we will in 2020 and 2022, there will be additional 300 jobs created in those destinations, which is great,” he added.
The Philippines is currently the Radisson’s third-largest market in Asia Pacific after China and India.
The group’s portfolio includes the Radisson Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson, Radisson RED, Park Plaza, Park Inn, and Country Inn & Suites. —VDS, GMA News
