PDIC urges creditors of Maximum Savings Bank to file claims by Jan. 21, 2020

Creditors of the closed Maximum Savings Bank Inc. were urged on Thursday by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) to file their claims against the bank’s assets by January 21, 2020.

The PDIC noted a creditor is any individual or entity with a valid claim against the assets of Maximum Savings Bank, including depositors whose deposits exceed the maximum deposit insurance coverage of P500,000, the state-run deposits insurer said in a statement.

Creditors and depositors may file their claims personally at the PDIC Public Assistance Center located at the 3rd Floor, SSS Bldg., 6782 Ayala Avenue corner V.A. Rufino St., Makati City.

Claims may also be filed through mail addressed to the PDIC Public Assistance Department.

The prescribed claim form against the assets of the bank is downloadable through www.pdic.gov.ph.

The PDIC warned that claims filed after January 21, 2020 is not allowed. Denied or disallowed claims may be filed with the liquidation court.

Maximum Savings Bank was shut down by the Central Bank last November 7.
