Fuel price rollback seen next week

Motorists should expect lower retail prices of petroleum products in the coming week, according to the weekly forecast by Unioil Petroleum Philippines.

In its price outlook for December 10 to December 16, Unioil said the price per liter of diesel is expected to go down by P0.05 to P0.15. Meanwhile, gasoline prices are seen to be slashed by P0.40 to P0.50 per liter.

Oil companies usually announce fuel price adjustments every Monday of the week to be implemented on Tuesday.

Data from the Department of Energy showed gasoline prices range between P45.45 and P56.54 per liter and diesel prices range between P38.20 to P43.63 per liter.

Year-to-date adjustments stand at a net increase of P6.82 per liter for gasoline and P3.81 per liter for diesel. —Ted Cordero/KG, GMA News
