AirAsia increases frequency of several domestic, international flights


AirAsia Philippines on Friday said it was increasing the frequency of several existing domestic and international flights originating from the Philippines due to high demand.

In a statement, the budget carrier said the following flights would have increased frequencies:

  • Z2 931: Clark - Iloilo (increase frequency from 3x to daily)
  • Z2 932: Iloilo - Clark (increase frequency from 3x to daily)
  • Z2 7110: Cebu - Kuala Lumpur (increase frequency from 3x to 4x)
  • Z2 7111: Kuala Lumpur - Cebu (increase frequency from 3x to 4x)
  • Z2 975: Clark - Tacloban (increase frequency from 3x to 4x starting March 29)
  • Z2 976: Tacloban - Clark (increase frequency from 3x to 4x starting March 29)
  • Z2 543: Cebu - Puerto Princesa (increase frequency from 3x to daily starting March 29)
  • Z2 544: Puerto Princesa - Cebu (increase frequency from 3x to daily starting March 29)

“We are pleased to welcome the new year with additional flights, offering guests more options when flying with us as they accomplish their travel goals this 2020. Our adjustments are well guided by data, and I am very optimistic about the tourism boost this will bring to our country in the summer months,” AirAsia Philippines CEO Ricky Isla said.

Travelers were encouraged to check-in online at airasia.com, the AirAsia mobile app, or by using the self-service kiosks at NAIA Terminals 3 and 4.

AirAsia said guests who wished to make changes to their bookings or purchase additional add-ons such as pre-booked Santan meals or luggage may do so via the My Bookings portal at airasia.com.

The budget carrier operates more than 500 weekly domestic and international flights from its hubs in Manila, Clark, Cebu, and Kalibo. — DVM, GMA News
