SM belies online posts claiming MOA building foundation compromised

The SM Group on Monday belied rumors that the foundation of the Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City was compromised.

"There is no truth to the information circulating on Social Media that the foundation of the Mall of Asia Complex has been compromised," the company said in a statement.

The statement comes after rumors circulated online, claiming that the foundation of the complex was compromised and that the facility was on the verge of collapsing.

"The foundation of the SM Mall of Asia Complex is built on concrete piles that reach the bedrock and will withstand extreme situations," the company explained.

"The statement where water will make the building collapse is patently false," SM emphasized.
